Sleepover Program
Sleep in the shadow of Turtle Mountain! Our expert staff will provide
your group with a fun-filled, activity-packed experience. Select your
education programs and meals, and let us do the rest. Interpreters
present curriculum-based programs as well as activities for Scouts,
Cubs, Guides, Brownies and other youth groups. Fee includes programs,
sleeping arrangements and meals.
Our Sleepover Program is offered at
$55.00 per student (which includes education programs, meals and sleeping
at the centre). Chaperones required to fill the 1:8 ratio are complimentary.
Additional chaperones are $35.00 per person. Groups provide all of their
own sleeping bags, pillows and mats.
To book a Sleepover, either contact the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre
by phone at 403-562-7388 (or call 310-0000, followed by 403-562-7388)
and speak with the Bookings Coordinator, or fill out the Sleepover
Booking Form (PDF), print the form and fax it to the Frank
Slide Interpretive Centre at 403-562-8635.
Once a Sleepover booking has been confirmed, all groups must complete
a Subway lunch form and a waiver form for every participant and chaperone
(please photocopy one form for each participant). These forms are on
pages 3 and 4 of the What
you need to know before arriving at the Centre form (PDF).
The Subway lunch form must be received by the Frank Slide Interpretive
Centre no less than 10 days prior to your arrival to ensure that the
order can be completed. The waiver forms can be presented to Frank Slide
Interpretive Centre staff upon your arrival (or must be received – mail
or fax – prior to your arrival).
Cancellations, Change
of Date or Refunds
The option to change the date of your program is available
if the request is made more than one (1) week before the existing confirmed
date or the proposed new date, whichever comes first. The Frank Slide
Interpretive Centre will make every effort to accommodate your requested
date change.
Group cancellations received by telephone must also be confirmed
in writing, either by fax, mail or email, at least one (1) week prior
to the confirmed date of the Sleepover. These groups will receive a refund
of the total amount paid, minus a $25.00 administrative processing fee.
In the event the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre has received no monies,
an administrative processing fee of $25.00 may be charged to the group.
Groups arriving with fewer participants than booked may be charged for
the missing participants’ third party costs (ie. meals) and other fixed
costs.
The Interpretation/Education Officer will make all decisions regarding
refunds. The Frank Slide Interpretive Centre, through the Bookings and/or
Sleepover Coordinator, reserves the right to cancel a booked or confirmed
program. If the Centre deems it necessary to cancel a booked or confirmed
Sleepover Program, the group will be given the option of an alternate
date or a full refund of monies paid.
