Group Tours

Led by a historical interpreter, guided tours let groups learn about the history and culture of Ukrainian settlers. Options for group tours include:

Introductory Group Tours

All groups to the site have the opportunity to participate in a one hour introductory tour to the site as a value-added service for your booking. These tours will begin at our Visitor Centre and will provide background information on our living history museum and the history and culture that we present. Groups will be introduced to the first-person style of interpretation and will be able to continue their visit to the museum after their time with the tour guide ends.

Ages: 7 years and up
Duration: 1 hour, beginning any hour from 10:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.
Group size: 15 or more participants
Cost: Included in admission

Guided Specialty Group Tours

Guided specialty tours provide an in-depth exploration of various themes and topics related to our living history museum. Your group can arrange for a specialty tour covering topics such as farming, churches and religion, architecture, behind-the-scenes activities and more. Contact us for more details about a specialty tour tailored to the needs of your group!

Duration: 2 hours
Group size: 15 or more participants
Cost: Youth (7-17): $11.00
Adults and seniors: (18 years and older): $16.00

Special Mobility-Impaired Driving Tours

Mobility-impaired driving tour Relive the "good old days" as we showcase east central Alberta from 1892-1930. Our multi award-winning mobility-impaired tour program is offered on Tuesdays in July and on Wednesdays in August and provides improved access to the site. Pre-booked groups are allowed to bring their own bus/van and drive through our historic areas with one of our costumed guides on board as they tour the museum. Participants remain on board while our staff bring the museum experience to them!

Groups will have the choice of touring from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by lunch (12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.), or, arrive at noon for lunch followed by a tour from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Ages: Adults and seniors with reduced mobility
Duration: 90 minutes
Cost: Seniors (65 years and older): $13, Adults (up to 65 years of age): $15, Support workers and Bus Drivers are admitted free.
